perfect cup of coffee

I only have one cup of coffee each day, but it’s  a big cup — 14oz! I could drink coffee all day if my stomach and my nerves could stand it. Seeing as I only allow myself that one massive cup, I have been on the quest for a perfect cup of coffee and I think I’ve found it!

I ordered pure Kona coffee beans from Hawaii.

I grind 3 scoops fresh each morning.

I use reverse osmosis water and first let the coffee brew in a French press for three minutes and then pour it through a Melitta filter.

I drink it black.

Yum.

  1. Argh! You’re making my mouth water…

I’ve just given up caffeine. Seven days and counting. Boohhoooo!

Hopefully it will help in the headache department. If only I could stay up past 9:00 pm.

    Zzzz…

Ooops, sorry, you lost me for a minute there. Enjoy your java.(s)

    1. Hi Hélène,

Can you drink decaf, or does it have too much caffeine in it for you? That is a HUGE sacrifice, giving up coffee. I hope your migraines appreciate your effort and leave you alone for good.

      1. Hi Marsha,

I tried decaf, but for some reason it didn’t agree with me. I also had a bad diet coke habit (2-3 a day). Again decaf diet coke didn’t really do it for me.

So I’m now caffeine and aspartame free. No headaches this week so cross your fingers. **YAWN**

          1. I suspect aspartame doesn’t help. The stuff is poison. Years from now we’ll wonder how it ever made it on the market!
